Lobaparda is a musical band born in 2006 in Teruel, after the chance meeting of four musicians very fond of aragonese sounds and folk music. Despite their youth, the members of Lobaparda have a broad experience in this kind of music; bands like La Birolla, Dulzaineros del Guadalope, Artesonado, Tintirinullo, Kuatro Kabras Folk…attest to their career and good skill.

For this project, Miguel Ángel Royo, José Manuel Alba, Elena Martínez and Chabier Crespo try to revive the traces of central and southern aragonese musical tradition,  in search of non-temporary sounds, inspired in the roughness of the aragonese Iberian mountains and the devastated Monegros plains and Ebro riverside. Using acoustical instruments, as well as Elena’s voice, they invite us to scan their music composed of  “romances”, “dances”, “villanos”…, beyond boundaries and conventions.. Old and modern music at once; traditional themes arranged by Lobaparda, and another ones composed by them and based on traditional parameters; songs with a voice that stands out together with instrumental themes.
